Harvest Food Donations
Fri 10 Nov 2017As part of our Harvest Festival, the children brought in food donations to help others less fortunate than themselves. During our Harvest Assembly, we had a representative from Sanctuary Trust who spoke to the children about the importance of this festival. We then donated 1 hamper to a member of our local community and the rest of the food collected was donated to the Sanctuary Trust. Please find attached a letter expressing their gratitude and can I also pass on our thanks to all the parents who donated food.

Remembrance Service
Fri 10 Nov 2017Today was a special day here at Northern. Years 4, 5 and 6 walked from school all the way to the War Memorial at the top of Deerplay and took part in a service to remember the service men and women who lost their lives for our freedom. The children bravely battled the elements to represent Northern and, as usual, they did us immensely proud. A special mention should go to our Year 6 class who worked together to produce the readings for the service and a special thank you to our readers, who read beautifully.

Northern's Harvest Assembly
Wed 25 Oct 2017Today at Northern we held our annual Harvest assembly. The children have been working hard and learning all about the Harvest Festival. Parents have been very generous with their donations and as a result of their generosity, people in our local community will receive some lovely food hampers.

Northern's Autumn Festival
Fri 20 Oct 2017Tonight, Northern held their annual Autumn Festival. Parents and children were treated to a spectacular bonfire and fireworks display. Our famous Chocolate Tombola was again a huge success and families were able to relax with a nice warm drink in our spookily decorated hall. The renown pumpkin competition was another success of the evening with some very creative ideas. These were displayed for all the children and adults to view.

We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The website is extremely easy to edit by all staff at the school, so check back soon for new updates!
