Carols Around the Tree
Thu 07 Dec 2017On Wednesday 6th December, Year 5 and 6 children performed at the Carols Around the Tree service in Bacup. The children performed 'Merry Christmas Everyone', 'Silent Night' and 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' and they sounded fabulous. They were led by Sean Ruane who had also been into school to help Northern voices be at their best. Massive thanks must go to all the parents and children who attended and braved our rainy weather!

Road Safety Awareness
Thu 23 Nov 2017Road Safety is something we are very aware of here at Northern. A vast amount of work has been completed by pupils to ensure that they understand how to stay safe and what Road Safety is. Today, the fire brigade came into school and 5 of our Year 6 pupils went outside to raise awareness to the drivers travelling past school by holding yellow hand-shaped signs making drivers aware about slowing down and keeping our pupils safe. The children did an amazing job - despite the rain! Well done.

Children In Need Spotacular
Fri 17 Nov 2017Something strange happened at Northern today. The children all appeared to have developed spots overnight. No need to panic though as the children were showing their support for Children In Need and wore spots to raise money for a very worthwhile charity. Thanks to the parents, children and teachers of Northern, we have raised over £185! Massive thanks to everyone!
