  • Christmas Jumper Day

    Today our children looked fabulous in their Christmas jumpers which really brightened up the assembly today. The children have helped to raise money for Save the Children and understand the importance of helping others who are less fortunate than them. We saw so many bright colours and festive slogans that it has been a pleasure admiring them all. Many thanks to everyone who supported this fantastic cause.

    Today our children and staff have enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner. The staff served the children and then ate together with their class. Reception and Year 6 had their lunch together and a fantastic time was had by all. Well done to all involved in delivering this special event.

    Today our children have been treated to a pantomime right in front of their eyes. The children saw Aladdin brought to life with actors and props and magnificent costumes. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this afternoon's performance and a massive thank you should be said to the PTA who fund this annual event. 
  • Little Angel Gets Her Wings

    This week our Year 1 and 2 children have amazed their parents and teachers with their beautiful singing and acting in their performance. The children and staff have worked so hard to produce this heart-warming Christmas play and a massive thank you goes to all of them for their hard work. Well done Year 1 and 2.
  • KS 2 Christmas Crafts Parent Workshop

    Today our parents have had the opportunity to come into school and take part in craft activities with their children. They made many amazing things and it was lovely to see both children and parents working together. Many thanks to all the parents were able to attend.
  • Carols at Deerplay Care Home.

    Today our Year 6 children took part in their annual trip to Deerplay Care Home where they sang a variety of carols for the residents. The children sang beautifully and the residents had even dressed up in their Christmas jumpers for the occasion! The children then enjoyed chatting to the residents after they were treated to drinks and crisps. Well done Year 6!

  • Change 4 Life Festival

    Today some of our children attended a Change 4 Life Festival at Blackburn Rovers Football Club. The children took part in events such as balancing, obstacle course, penalty shoot and Team Bingo. The children had an amazing time and learnt lots of new skills!

  • Christingle Workshop

    Today our Key Stage 1 children took part in a Christingle Workshop which was organised by Mrs Dixon and supported by our very own school chef, Debbie. Debbie spoke to the children about what a Christingle was and its significance at this time of year. The children then made their own Christingle to take home. Many thanks to the parents who were able to come and work with their child. And a big thank you to Debbie for giving up her time to share the meaning of Christingles with the children and parents.
  • Fearns PE Event

    Today 7 of our children went to Fearns to take part in a PE Inclusion event which are specifically aimed at children who enjoy sports in a non-competitive way. The children took part in a variety of activities such as running, javelin, speed bounce, standing long jump and chest push. The children all received medals for their effort and represented Northern exceptionally well. Well done!
