We are so proud to have been part of this amazing cause. Every child in school wrote a letter of support to the children of Ukraine and it is fantastic to see these being handed over. We will continue to support this amazing cause. Please go to our Facebook page Northern Primary School | Facebook for the full video.

This week the Reception children have had so much fun with Bikeability. The children have made so much progress and there was a real buzz about school as the children shared their achievements! Great work Reception Class!
Today two of our Year 5 children attended the Mental Health and Wellbeing Ambassador Training at The Valley. They learnt all about the importance of staying healthy in both mind and body. They listened to an inspirational talk from Guy who was a skateboarding champion, a disco dance champion and even represented England in the Eurovision Song Contest in the 1980s! He spoke about how important these aspects were and the children have come back into school buzzing and they are organising a lunchtime club that will start next week so watch this space for updates!
Well done Lily and Lucy!
Today 17 of our children represented Northern at the Rossendale Inter-School Athletics competition where they took part in races, javelin, chest push, high jump, standing long jump, speed bounce and triple jump! The children were absolutely amazing and their behaviour was outstanding and noted by parents and organisers alike. We even won the award for the school, showing the best School Games Value Award which is huge achievement! Well done Northern! Special thanks to the parents who kindly gave up their time to transport children to the event and for those who supported us!
Here at Northern we love to support our local community and this Harvest is no exception. We have asked families to donate what they can and yet again we have been blown away by your generosity. This year we are donating to Trinity Baptist Food Bank in Bacup who are so grateful for these donations. Thank you everyone!
Our campaign to Slow Down and Save Lives has made it to the press! The children all worked hard on their letters and following an assembly with Cllrs Jackie Oakes and Andy MacNae, we have taken our story to the papers. Watch this space for our next steps but whilst you are waiting, have a read of the article.

This sold out event was a real community and school get together and had an amazing family feel about it. It was enjoyed by all and staff were delighted to see so many children and parents enjoying themselves! There was a great buzz here tonight and we would like to say a massive thanks to the PTA for organising it, to the staff for helping out, to the parents who helped out but most importantly to each and every one of you who made this night a success by supporting it and raising a fantastic amount of money -£553 - for the children of Northern!
