This week the children have loved planning and making their Non - Chronological Reports all about Where We Live! The children gathered information about Bacup and found lots of interesting pictures too. We enjoyed sharing our reports together and discussing all our hard work! Next week we will be learning to read and write Poetry!
In Maths, the children have worked extremely hard whilst learning about inverse operations in Addition and Subtraction. Using inverse operations to find the sum of an equation is a tricky concept and they have done very well!
Each week in our Geography lessons we have expanded the area we have looked at, from the small town of Bacup to wider area of Lancashire. The children enjoyed investigating and recording the different landmarks in our county. In our History lesson, we were shocked, but interested to learn about the conditions that children had to endured working in the Cotton Mills. This learning was consolidated in Art when we studied a famous artist called Paddy Campbell who painted landscapes in different areas of Lancashire.
The children particularly enjoyed their RE lesson this week, where we looked at how Christian’s celebrate harvest time.
Well Done Jax on receiving Shooting Star!
Miss Murray.
