Week 3
We have had another fun-filled week in Year 2!
In our English sessions, children have started to innovate Katie Morag delivers the mail text by creating story maps and writing their openings to the story. The children began transferring what they had learned in their handwriting sessions to their writing by joining certain letters and sounds.
Our Topic question this week was How did the Cotton Mills change Bacup? In History, we found images of Bacup from the 19th and early 20th centuries and compared them to current times. Our History learning linked nicely with our Art lesson when the children studied the artwork of Lowry and created their own inspired pieces.
