Today in school, we have had been entertained by actors who came into school to tell the KS2 children all about the story of King Arthur. We met the knights of the round table, the wise women of the forest, Merlin and King Arthur himself. The children watched in awe as the story came to life. The actors commented on the children's behaviour saying they were one of the best audiences they had had. Well done KS2!

Today our children looked very different! Around the school, all we could see were pyjamas and dressing gowns! We did this to celebrate 2 amazing stories that have stood the test of time and which are celebrating anniversaries. All classes have been taking part in activities that revolve around these stories and it was great to see a hall full of smiley faces!
Today our Year 4 and 6 children have taken part in a Viking Workshop. Our visitor brought a range of artefacts and the children learnt all about the Vikings and what life was like back in Viking times. The children have had a great time and it was lovely to see all their happy smiley faces.
Today our Year 6 netball team represented Northern at the Rossendale High Five Netball Competition. Well done girls!
