Today our Year 6 children attended Burnley Court for a Suffragette court case involving Mary Richardson. They children learnt all about the parts of the court, the people who work in the court room and even managed to interview a real-life judge! The staff were so impressed with their questions and behaviour so well done!
This week our children have been braving the elements and learning all about bike safety and staying safe on the roads. The children learnt how to complete an M check before riding their bikes and practised some basic skills before venturing out onto the road to put them into practice. Well done Year 5!
Today our Year 5 and 6 children walked up to the Deerplay memorial to pay their respects to the soldiers by marking the 2 minute silence along with the rest of the country. The Year 6 children read extremely well and special thanks to Oliver for playing The Last Post in blustery conditions. Many thanks to all who attended.
This week our Year 2 and 3 children have had a very special visitor from Warburtons. They got to learn about the bread making process from start to finish and they also discussed healthy eating as well as making their own healthy sandwich. They learnt about hygiene in the factories and food hygiene too. Well done Year 2 and 3!
