  • Remembrance Walk

    Fri 09 Nov 2018
Today our Year 4, 5 and 6 children walked up to the Deerplay Memorial to show their respect to all those who fought for our freedom. The children battled the wind and listened carefully to every word that was spoken. Our former pupil Enfys played the Last Post and the children then showed the utmost respect for the 2 minute silence.  A fantastic well done to our Year 6 children who read so beautifully too.

    Mon 05 Nov 2018
Today our very own Northern football team travelled to St Veronica's in Helmshore to play a friendly football match in preparation for the inter-schools competition next Wednesday. The boys were facing an excellent St Veronica's team but this did not put them off! They played their best and showed real sportsmanship. Despite losing 7-1, our boys kept their heads up and showed the resilience we instil in our children here at Northern. Well done boys!

  • PTA Autumn Disco

    Thu 01 Nov 2018
Tonight our school hall was transformed into a fantastic disco for all of our children here at Northern. The children danced the evening away and were treated to drinks and biscuits during their short break from all the dancing! They were all singing and dancing to all of their favourite songs and a super evening was had by all and a massive thank you to the PTA members who organised the whole event.
