We have started our new topic ‘Who loves being outside?’ We are looking at different artists who paint landscape pictures. Today we focused on Monet.
Here are our lovely pictures. We used pastels today.
Today we looked at pictures painted by Seurat. He used pointillism to paint his pictures. We had a go by using cotton buds as our painting tool.
We looked at David Hockney’s pictures of landscapes and noticed the bright colours he used. We copied his style using wax crayons.
Here are our finished pictures.
We also did some large scale pictures.
These are the finished pictures.
Today we did some landscape sketching of our local area.
These are our wonderful sketches.
Today we painted our own landscape pictures. We used our colour mixing skills we have learned this year.
Our pictures are amazing! I am sure we will have some famous artists from our class in the future.
